Team Meetings

Engage in the act of dialogue by facilitating synchronized action; the result of meetings where members know what their responsibilities are and what to do without having to regress to discussions of planning.

Work toward the team managing the meetings rather than the coach or leader.

Make a list of the differences between discussion and dialogue. Get the team to "hang" their assumptions in front of the team for exploration.

Build processes into the meetings that invite input from all team members.

Begin and end meetings by setting agendas: end meetings by discussing the meeting's agenda, and begin meetings with agenda additions.

Record the discussion and activities of the meetings by writing, and/or other recording devices.

Store

Have members take turns digitizing the information in various forms of typed text, graphics, recordings, and artifacts. Place this information in an accessible area such as a file cabinet, or on the network.

Retrieve/Share

Have the stored team meeting information readily available during team meetings for building upon, or for catching-up members who may of missed the last meeting.
